Food Service Associate

Matchbox is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Food Service Associate to support daily restaurant operations and provide a positive dining experience for guests. This role involves assisting with food and beverage service, supporting order preparation and delivery, maintaining clean service areas, and working closely with kitchen and front-of-house team members. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Assist with taking orders and answering basic questions about menu items.
• Support food and beverage service according to restaurant procedures.
• Help prepare, assemble, and organize orders as assigned.
• Deliver completed orders to the appropriate pickup area or table when needed.
• Communicate order details and special requests clearly to kitchen and service staff.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked dining and service areas.
• Restock napkins, utensils, containers, condiments, and other service supplies.
• Assist with clearing and resetting tables as needed.
• Follow food-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures.
• Support opening, closing, and routine daily restaurant duties.
• Help maintain smooth order flow during busy service periods.
• Work cooperatively with kitchen staff, servers, cashiers, and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, café, food-service, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful but not required.
• Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to guests.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good attention to cleanliness, order accuracy, and service details.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Willingness to learn menu items and restaurant procedures.
• Ability to stay organized while supporting multiple tasks.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
