Job Summary

Max Appliance Repair is hiring a Food Service Kitchen Worker to support daily kitchen and food service operations. This role supports food preparation, order support, dishwashing, cleaning, stocking, and other kitchen activities while helping maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation, portioning, and ingredient organization
• Support cooks and kitchen staff with daily food service activities
• Prepare and assemble food items according to recipes and service standards
• Assist with packaging food and preparing customer orders
• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment
• Maintain clean and organized kitchen, prep, storage, and service areas
• Restock ingredients, beverages, packaging, cleaning supplies, and kitchen materials
• Assist with receiving and organizing food and kitchen supply deliveries
• Remove trash and maintain clean waste disposal areas
• Monitor food and kitchen supplies and report shortages or damaged items
• Follow food safety, sanitation, food-handling, and workplace safety procedures
• Assist with opening, closing, and general kitchen duties
• Perform additional food service and kitchen support tasks assigned by management

Requirements

• Previous kitchen, restaurant, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience is an asset but not required
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and safe food handling
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn

Preferred Skills

• Experience in commercial kitchen or food service operations
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and food preparation procedures
• Strong organization and time management skills
