Duties

• Prepare and assemble meals according to established recipes, dietary guidelines, and safety standards
• Serve food to residents or clients with professionalism, warmth, and efficiency
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen and dining areas, including utensils, equipment, and surfaces
• Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations
• Assist in meal planning, portioning, and food presentation to enhance the dining experience
• Manage time effectively to ensure all meals are prepared and served on schedule
• Support with general kitchen tasks such as dishwashing, inventory checks, and restocking supplies

Qualifications

• Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred
• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
• Ability to handle food safely and maintain sanitation standards at all times
• Experience with food handling equipment and kitchen tools
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail
