Duties

• Prepare food items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Serve food and beverages in a friendly, efficient manner, providing exceptional in-person customer service.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, blenders, and POS (Point of Sale) systems for processing cash transactions.
• Follow strict food safety sanitizing procedures to maintain a hygienic environment and prevent contamination.
• Assist with food handling and portioning, weighing ingredients accurately while adhering to dietary guidelines.
• Clean workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly to uphold cleanliness standards; perform deep cleaning tasks as scheduled.
• Support catering and banquet events by setting up serving stations, managing food presentation, and ensuring smooth service flow.
• Handle manual tasks such as weight handling in the workplace with proper ergonomic techniques to prevent injury.
• Maintain knowledge of wine pairing and basic culinary principles to enhance guest experience when applicable.
• Process orders efficiently using POS systems while managing cash transactions accurately.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service during busy periods or special events like banquets or catering functions.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service environments, including restaurant or hospitality settings; fine dining experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety management practices.
• Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively; previous culinary or catering experience is advantageous.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests in person.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions for food handling, sanitation procedures, and dietary requirements.
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients, calculating portions, and processing transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of wine pairing principles enhances guest interactions when applicable; barista or beverage service experience is beneficial.
• Experience with POS systems for order processing and cash handling; familiarity with restaurant operations is preferred.
• Ability to handle weight handling tasks safely within a fast-paced environment; physical stamina is essential.
• Previous banquet or catering experience demonstrates adaptability in diverse service settings.
• Strong teamwork orientation with excellent communication skills; flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays as needed.
