Food Service Worker

Job Summary

Lucille's is seeking a dependable, friendly, and service-oriented New American Food Service Worker to support daily restaurant operations and help deliver a positive dining experience. This role involves assisting with food preparation and service, handling orders, maintaining clean work areas, restocking supplies, and collaborating with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth service.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide courteous, professional assistance.
• Assist with taking food and beverage orders and communicating special requests.
• Support food preparation, portioning, plating, packaging, and order assembly as assigned.
• Help ensure food orders are accurate, complete, and presented properly.
• Deliver or distribute completed orders promptly when needed.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff and service team members to support timely order fulfillment.
• Answer basic guest questions about menu items and refer detailed inquiries to appropriate team members.
• Communicate dietary preferences and allergy concerns to kitchen staff or supervisors.
• Maintain clean and organized kitchen workstations, counters, service areas, and dining spaces.
• Restock ingredients, utensils, napkins, containers, and other food service supplies.
• Assist with clearing tables and maintaining a neat guest area when required.
• Operate point-of-sale equipment and process payments when assigned.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
• Handle food, equipment, and supplies carefully and responsibly.
• Report supply shortages, equipment concerns, and service issues to supervisors.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties.
• Work cooperatively with coworkers during busy service periods.
• Help maintain consistent food quality, order accuracy, and service standards.
• Perform other food service and restaurant support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, food service, kitchen, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, dependable, and customer-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and established food service procedures.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
