Food System Technologist (Compliance, Labelling & Specification)

About the role

This role involves preparing, maintaining and updating product labels, specifications and regulatory documentation for the Hong Kong and Macau markets, ensuring compliance with local food regulations and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain and update product labels, specifications and regulatory documentation for the Hong Kong and Macau markets
• Conduct compliance reviews of ingredients, packaging materials, finished products, and product labelling
• Verify product information, ingredient declarations, nutrition labelling and claims to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Provide regulatory and technical support to internal departments and customers on labelling, product specification and compliance requirements
• Assist in other ad-hoc projects as assigned

About you

• Diploma or above in Food Science & Technology / Food Safety and Nutrition, or related disciplines
• Sound knowledge of Hong Kong food regulations and labelling requirements
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in food labelling, product specification management, regulatory compliance or quality assurance
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and English & Chinese word processing
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
