You'll also spend time supporting our catering team and learning how a busy school food service operates.

  • prepare ingredients, equipment and work areas ready for practical Food Technology lessons;
  • weigh, measure and portion ingredients;
  • set up equipment and resources before lessons;
  • support the smooth running of practical cooking sessions; assist teachers and pupils during practical activities where appropriate;
  • clear down and prepare the room between lessons;
  • clean and maintain equipment and food preparation areas;
  • safely store ingredients and equipment;
  • monitor ingredients and help maintain appropriate stock levels;
  • receive and put away food deliveries;
