What they need
Job Summary
The Football Content Editor will cover local and international football, including major leagues, tournaments, national teams, Filipino players, and breaking developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Write football news, match reports, previews, analysis, and features.
- Cover Philippine football and the national team.
- Monitor major international leagues and competitions, including the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, and MLS.
- Provide timely live-game updates.
- Research and verify scores, statistics, standings, and player information.
- Produce content for the Alta Sports app and social platforms.
- Coordinate with video and social media teams.
Qualifications
- At least 2–3 years of professional sports writing/editing experience.
- Strong knowledge of football.
- Excellent writing and research skills.
- Familiarity with local and international football.
- Ability to work flexible hours based on international match schedules.
