An exciting opportunity has arisen as a Force Intelligence Reader within Force Intelligence Bureau.

In this interesting role you will provide continuity and support to the FIH (Force Intelligence Hub) by receiving, evaluating, collating, creating, recording and disseminating information and intelligence relating to threat, risk and harm, crime and other community concerns.

You will need to be IT literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook with the ability to learn new systems. You will also have the ability to process a large volume of work to meet exacting standards of accuracy and adherence to guidelines along with the ability to carry out research on systems and arrive at a functional analysis of the facts.

Training for this role requires full-time office days for six weeks. Once training is complete, the successful candidate can work a hybrid style - currently 2 days a week in the office/3 days a week at home.

Along with all other posts on Force CID, Intelligence and Specialist Operations, this role will require an enhanced level of vetting.

If the secondment is not supported then the role may be offered on a fixed term contract basis, but this has implications including loss of continuous service protections.

Vetting. All posts require a level of Police Vetting as per the National Vetting Code of Practice. The residency requirement is necessary to enable all applicants to be checked in an equitable manner.
