About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Foreman to join LAU SINCERE AUTOWAGON SERVICES SDN BHD in Johor Bahru, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial operational role within our automotive services division. As Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing workshop operations, managing technical teams, and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery to our valued clients. This role is central to maintaining our reputation for excellence in automotive repairs and maintenance services.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of workshop technicians and support staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to schedules
• Allocate work assignments and manage workstations to optimise productivity and resource utilisation
• Conduct quality inspections on completed work to ensure all repairs and services meet company standards and customer expectations
• Monitor inventory levels of spare parts, tools and materials, and coordinate replenishment orders as needed
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to workshop staff, assisting with complex repairs and troubleshooting issues
• Liaise with customers to understand their requirements, provide updates on vehicle status, and address any concerns or complaints
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, timesheets, maintenance schedules and workshop activities
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workshop environment
• Report on workshop performance metrics to senior management and identify areas for operational improvement
• Collaborate with management on training initiatives and professional development programmes for team members

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive repair or maintenance. Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems, repair procedures and diagnostic techniques across various vehicle types
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in workshop management systems and work order processing software
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with staff and customers
• Sound understanding of health and safety regulations specific to automotive workshops
• Problem-solving capabilities with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency
• Valid driving licence and relevant automotive trade qualifications or certifications are advantageous
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
