What they need

Factory Foreman – Aluminium Windows & Doors
Integrity Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturing business in the Wairarapa for a Foreman to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the factory floor.

This is a hands-on role for someone who knows aluminium manufacturing, understands what good production looks like and has the leadership skills to get the best out of a team.

About the Role
As the Foreman, you will be responsible for keeping production moving, ensuring jobs are completed correctly and on time, and providing clear direction to the factory team.

You will work closely with the General Manager and Production Manager while taking ownership of the day-to-day activities on the factory floor.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating daily production and allocating work across the team
  • Ensuring aluminium windows and doors are manufactured correctly and efficiently
  • Monitoring job progress and identifying bottlenecks or delays
  • Reading and understanding production drawings and specifications
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality
  • Ensuring quality control processes are followed
  • Supporting and developing less experienced team members and apprentices
  • Providing clear leadership, direction and accountability to the team
  • Identifying and resolving production issues
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are consistently maintained
  • Keeping the factory organised, clean and efficient
  • Communicating production issues and priorities with management
  • Looking for practical ways to improve workflow, productivity and reduce waste
  • Getting involved on the tools when required to keep production moving

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who has genuine industry experience and understands the realities of aluminium window and door manufacturing.
You will ideally have:

  • Experience in aluminium window and door manufacturing, glazing, joinery or a similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of aluminium manufacturing processes
  • Experience with APL window systems and designs
  • Previous experience supervising or leading a production team
  • The ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • A practical and hands-on approach
  • Strong communication skills
  • A good understanding of workplace health and safety

A relevant trade qualification would be advantageous but isn't essential if you have the right experience.

The Person
This role would suit someone who is hands-on, practical and respected by the people around them. You won't be sitting in an office all day. You'll be on the factory floor, working with the team, solving problems and making sure production keeps moving.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Leads by example
  • Takes ownership and accountability
  • Can remain calm when things get busy
  • Is organised and reliable
  • Has high standards
  • Is comfortable making decisions
  • Can have difficult conversations when necessary
  • Enjoys developing and supporting others
  • Looks for solutions rather than excuses
  • Takes pride in getting the job done properly

What's On Offer?
This is an opportunity to join a growing manufacturing business where you can have a genuine impact on the way the factory operates.

You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of the factory floor, lead a skilled team and contribute to improving production, quality and efficiency.

If you're ready to take the next step in your manufacturing career and want a role where your experience and leadership will be valued, we'd like to hear from you.
