This is a hands-on leadership role — you'll be right there on the tools alongside your team while managing workflow, providing mentorship, and ensuring smooth, efficient operations. You'll take pride in quality workmanship, enjoy working in a team, and be keen to develop your leadership capability.
If you're trade-qualified, technically strong and naturally someone others turn to for guidance, this could be an excellent opportunity to step up and grow your career with a supportive, forward-thinking company.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and mentor a skilled team of fabricators and welders.
- Manage daily workflow, job allocation, and project deadlines.
- Work on the tools across fabrication, assembly, and repair projects.
- Oversee both workshop and onsite fabrication work.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards.
- Maintain clear communication with management and project teams.
About You
You don't necessarily need to have held the title of Foreman before. What we're looking for is someone with strong technical capability, a great attitude, and the confidence and potential to lead others.
You'll ideally bring:
- A relevant trade qualification and solid fabrication/welding experience.
- Previous leadership experience or a genuine desire and readiness to step into a leadership role.
- Excellent planning and time management abilities.
- The ability to complete work to a high standard with attention to detail.
- Experience working with mild steel and stainless steel.
- A solid understanding of health & safety practices.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- A flexible, positive attitude and a commitment to doing the job well.
What's on Offer
- A full-time, permanent role (minimum 40 hours per week).
- Excellent remuneration including vehicle
- Varied and interesting work — every day is different.
- A chance to work for a company whose values include: Excellence, Caring, Creative, Profitable, Approachable, Organised, and Transparent.
- The opportunity to lead a talented, motivated team in a supportive and growth-focused environment.
