Foreman

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise Operations: Direct and coordinate daily activities for construction workers, laborers, and subcontractors on-site.
• Manage Workflow: Assign daily tasks, set performance goals, and adjust work plans to account for weather, delays, or staffing shifts.
• Enforce Safety: Monitor compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) guidelines, ensuring proper use of safety gear and equipment.
• Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to guide the crew.
• Track Resources: Monitor inventory, track site materials, and request tools or equipment as needed to prevent work bottlenecks.
• Report Progress: Communicate project updates, milestones, and labor challenges directly to project managers and senior supervisors.
• Mentor Team: Train new hires and mentor junior crew members or apprentices on building techniques and site protocols. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9]

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a construction foreman or in a similar supervisory role.
• Technical Skills: Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical construction documents.
• Safety Knowledge: Deep familiarity with local safety laws, OSH standards, and best practices on active job sites.
• Leadership: Excellent manpower management, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
• Physical Stamina: Physically fit and able to work in demanding outdoor and indoor construction environments.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or trade certification is a plus
