Working Yard Foreman – Pick & Pull Yard

Pay: Starting at $26/hour, with the potential to pay more based on experience.

Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Working Yard Foreman for a busy Pick & Pull / auto salvage yard. This is a working leadership role that will assist with day-to-day yard activities while actively working alongside the team.

This position will learn and work in all areas of the yard, with a strong focus on heavy equipment operation, equipment maintenance, safety, and supporting daily yard operations.

Responsibilities
Work hands-on in all areas of the Pick & Pull yard as needed.
Assist with leading and coordinating daily yard activities.
Operate loaders, excavators, forklifts, skid steers, and other heavy equipment.
Move, stage, organize, and process vehicles throughout the yard.
Perform equipment inspections and assist with basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
Help coordinate equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
Train and support employees on safe equipment operation and yard procedures.
Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
Lead by example and work alongside the team to complete daily goals.
Qualifications
3+ years of heavy equipment or industrial yard experience preferred.
Experience with loaders, excavators, or similar heavy equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and basic equipment maintenance knowledge.
Previous lead or foreman experience preferred.
Willingness to work in all areas of the yard, not just operate equipment.
Strong safety, communication, and leadership skills.
Auto salvage, Pick & Pull, scrap metal, or recycling experience is a plus.
