Foreman, Landscape Hardscape

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Foreman, Landscape Hardscape to lead and oversee hardscaping construction projects and landscape installations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of skilled crew members, ensuring the successful execution of hardscape features such as pavers, turf, subsurface drainage, patios, retaining walls, walkways, and outdoor living spaces. Your expertise in landscaping, ground maintenance, and construction will drive high-quality results while maintaining safety standards and project timelines. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of landscape and hardscape crew members, providing clear direction and support throughout all phases of projects
• Oversee the planning, design, and construction of hardscape features including patios, pathways, retaining walls, and outdoor structures
• Manage daily operations on job sites, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to company standards
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure materials are delivered on time and specifications are met
• Conduct site assessments to identify project requirements, plant identification needs, irrigation needs, and ground preparation tasks
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of groundskeeping equipment, landscaping tools, irrigation systems, and construction machinery
• Enforce safety protocols on-site to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment for all team members

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of hardscaping construction projects including installation techniques for patios, walkways, retaining walls, and outdoor living features
• Proven experience supervising landscaping teams with strong crew management skills
• Proficiency in lawn care, landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, gardening, and horticulture practices
• Ability to identify various plants, trees, shrubs and understand their care requirements
• Skilled in irrigation management including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of irrigation systems
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with outdoor work environments and operation of grounds maintenance equipment such as trimmers, blowers, compactors, and excavators
• Construction experience related to landscape projects with an emphasis on safety compliance and quality control
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients and team members effectively
• Valid company vehicle operation license preferred for site visits and material transport
