Foreman/Pipefitter

Job Overview

• Lead pipefitting work on construction projects, coordinating crews and ensuring installations meet project plans, safety requirements, quality standards, and schedules.
• Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other trades to plan work, resolve field issues, and keep projects moving efficiently.
• Use construction management software and project tools such as Bluebeam, to review documents, track progress, and coordinate work.

Duties

• Support pipefitters and other crew members; assign tasks, monitor progress, and promote safe work practices.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and project documents to plan pipe layouts and installation.
• Coordinate material, equipment, and labor needs with project leadership; help monitor schedules.
• Perform and oversee pipe installation, fitting, alignment, testing, and related field work in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes.
• Conduct inspections and quality control checks, identify deficiencies, and coordinate corrective work.
• Use construction estimating skills to help assess labor, materials, and scope changes.
• Maintain accurate records, communicate job progress, and report safety, schedule, or quality concerns.
• Coordinate with other trades to prevent conflicts and support orderly work sequencing.
• Operation of a one ton truck and picker

Experience

• Construction experience in pipefitting or a closely related trade; hands-on pipefitting experience is strongly preferred.
• Supervising experience leading crews, assigning work, and supporting team performance.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics and apply them to field installation.
• Familiarity with quality control, construction scheduling.
• Experience with construction estimating and construction management software; familiarity with Bluebeam is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and safety awareness.
• Safety tickets are an asset; First Aid, H2S, CSO, WHMIS, TDG, Ground Disturbance, Fall Protection, Confined Space
