Forensic Civil/Structural Engineer

We are seeking a PE/SE (or a strong EI/EIT) with 0-5 years of experience.

You’ll investigate building envelope, roofing, foundation, and fenestration issues, along with storm damage, construction defects, and premise liability matters.

Day to day, you’ll conduct field observations and testing, prepare technical reports, present findings to clients and peers, support business development, and serve as an expert witness.

Involvement in professional associations is encouraged and supported.

Requirements:

• ABET-accredited engineering degree
• PE or SE license (highly qualified EI/EITs considered)
• 0-5 years of forensic engineering experience
• Working knowledge of modern building codes and industry standards
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Willingness to travel regularly and work at heights on moderate to steep roofs (training provided, fall protection used)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions, and access attics and crawlspaces
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred: Experience in design or construction, damage assessments, storm damage, or building envelope evaluation.
