Forensic Evaluator - Adolescent Psychosexual Evaluations (LCSW-C / LCPC, Per Evaluation)

Sthenos Technologies is a Maryland-based healthcare staffing firm (Maryland MBE, SBA EDWOSB) expanding a network of experienced, reliable evaluators for a Maryland Department of Juvenile Services (DJS) community-based evaluation contract. Our biggest priority is clinicians who are comfortable working with court-involved adolescents and producing high-quality forensic reports.

This is part-time, per-evaluation work, a good fit for clinicians who maintain a private practice or other employment and want to take cases based on their availability. There is significant case volume, and we are adding multiple clinicians.

What you'll do:

• Conduct adolescent psychosexual evaluations for court-involved youth

• Integrate testing with clinical interviews, collateral information, records and risk factors

• Prepare comprehensive, forensic-quality reports using DJS templates and required sections, within the case deadline (typically 10 to 30 days, depending on the youth's court date)

• Communicate consistently throughout each case

• Testify in court occasionally if subpoenaed, and support and defend your evaluations when necessary

What you need:

• Active Maryland LCSW-C or LCPC license

• At least two years of recent experience providing community-based mental health evaluation services to court-involved youth

• Strong experience with adolescents, forensic or court-involved populations, psychosexual assessment and risk assessment

• Experience with adolescent psychosexual/risk assessment instruments such as the J-SOAP-II or comparable instruments

• Comprehensive report writing skills

• Flexibility to travel within Maryland. Work is primarily in person at DJS facilities, residential or secure settings and community locations, with some evaluations approved to occur virtually.
