Fork Lift Operator

Duties/Responsibilities:

• The Forklift Operator is responsible for counting the freight received and shipped.
• Verify counts compared to drivers bills by item.
• Identifies and reconciles count variances by making notations on driver bills and obtaining signature.
• Prepares over, short and damage reports as required.
• The Forklift Operator obtains cases from a warehouse location and places the cases on pallets or carts.
• The Forklift Operator selects cases by product type and lot number. These cases are neatly assembled on pallets or carts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to understand and follow English instructions preferred.
• Capable of following verbal and written instructions
• Capable of operating facility material handling equipment (OSHA certified on forklifts, reach trucks, hand trucks) and their attachments
• Basic understanding and utilization of RF scanning equipment
• Have good arithmetic skills
• Have no fear of heights
• Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures.
• Follow company policies, procedures and guidelines, employ safe work practices.
• Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.
