Forklift Driver

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Driver to join us for a role at Novar Gardens, SA 5040. This is a casual position that offers full time work whilst providing essential support to our operations. As a Forklift Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement and storage of materials and goods across our facility. Your expertise in operating forklifts safely and effectively will contribute directly to the smooth running of our logistics operations and the timely delivery of our services to clients.

What you'll be doing

• Operating forklifts to move, stack and position materials, goods and equipment in warehouses, storage areas and on loading docks
• Loading and unloading trucks, containers and other vehicles with accuracy and efficiency
• Conducting pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are safe and in good working condition
• Maintaining safe working practices at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies
• Keeping accurate records of materials moved and transactions completed
• Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure coordinated workflow
• Ensuring the warehouse and work areas remain tidy, organised and free from hazards
• Following inventory procedures and assisting with stocktake activities as required

What we're looking for

• Current, valid forklift licence or certification appropriate to your state
• Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices relevant to forklift operation
• Ability to work safely and responsibly, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Reliability and a strong commitment to punctuality
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems or inventory software is advantageous
• Previous experience in casual or temporary roles is beneficial
