Forklift Driver/Material Handler

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate must be able to safely operate both stand-up and sit-down forklifts to move, load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse. Experience operating clamp trucks and cherry pickers is also required. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate both stand-up and sit-down forklifts to load, unload, move, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
• Operate specialized equipment, including clamp trucks and cherry pickers, as required.
• Perform order picking tasks efficiently while ensuring accuracy in inventory management.
• Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels.
• Conduct routine pre-use inspections of forklifts and other equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Assist with organizing warehouse space to maximize efficiency and maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and operational deadlines.
• Follow all applicable safety regulations, operating procedures, and company policies when handling materials and operating equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Must be able to safely operate both stand-up and sit-down forklifts.
• Previous forklift operating experience, including clamp trucks and cherry pickers, required.
• Ability to perform order picking and material-handling tasks in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to identify and report equipment issues.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions and established procedures.
