Forklift / Mobile Plant Operator

Based at our InfraBuild Recycling Laverton site, you’ll join our metal recycling operations as a Forklift / Mobile Plant Operator, working across a variety of yard and plant activities. This is a permanent day shift position with regular overtime, plus site allowance, paid leave and an annual wellbeing allowance. With hands-on training provided, you’ll have the opportunity to build your skills across different mobile plant and develop your career within the business.

What you will be doing:

• Operating mobile plant – Forklift, Material Handler, Excavator, Loader or Bobcat
• Loading and unloading trucks and shipping containers
• Loading scrap metal onto conveyor for processing through the shredder
• Performing manual handling tasks
• Maintaining cleanliness in the yard and operational areas
• Conducting daily checks on mobile plant
• Adhering to safety procedures at all times

Hours – rotating fortnightly roster – 6am – 2:30pm and 8am – 4:30pm plus overtime

Pay rate - $44.81 per hour, plus super, plus 1% site allowance, plus $300 wellbeing allowance per year, plus regular overtime!

What you will bring:

• Forklift ticket, essential
• Experience operating a Material Handler, Excavator, Loader, Bobcat, desirable – Competency based training will be provided
• Mobile shearing on an excavator advantageous
• Experience in scrap recycling, civil construction, waste or manufacturing is highly advantageous
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced yard environment
• Reliable and punctual with a safety focused and team oriented mindset
