Forklift Operator and Material Handler

We are seeking a reliable and safety‑focused Forklift Operator / Material Handler to support daily warehouse operations. This blended role is responsible for operating powered industrial trucks, handling materials manually, and ensuring accurate, efficient movement of inventory throughout the facility. This role is also expected to maintain shipping/receiving activity and stored equipment inventory in our WMS system. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, safety‑driven, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

Forklift & PIT Operation

• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other PIT equipment to move materials throughout the facility.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trucks; verify counts against bills of lading and purchase orders.
• Stage and organize inventory in racks, production areas, and outbound lanes.
• Complete OSHA‑required pre‑shift equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues.
• Use handheld tablet or RF scanners to track inventory movement and maintain accurate records.
• Follow all warehouse safety rules, including speed limits, load capacity guidelines, and pedestrian awareness.

Material Handling

• Receive, sort, and organize inbound equipment, materials, and components.
• Perform accurate counts during receiving, stocking, and cycle‑count activities.
• Inspect incoming equipment and materials for damage, accuracy, and quality.
• Maintain inventory locations by updating labels, grid assignments, and rack organization.
• Support warehouse housekeeping by removing debris, breaking down pallets, and keeping aisles clear.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain employer‑provided certification.
• Prior forklift or warehouse experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Basic WMS system experience required
• Tablet or RF scanner experience a plus.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per month
