Forklift Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and other heavy equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in a safe and efficient manner within a warehouse or distribution center environment. Also we do our own warehouse maintenance, so any maintenance skills are a plus. Must be able to work unsupervised after training. Unloading/loading lumber trucks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other heavy equipment such as Hi-Lo, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, etc.
• Load and unload materials from trucks or containers
• Stack and store merchandise in designated areas
• Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
• Keep a clean and safe working environment
• Report any discrepancies or damages to management immediately

-Maintain warehouses including keeping warehouses clean, fixing leaks and warehouse repairs.

• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines

Skills
To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:

• Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or similar role
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures
• Proficient in operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
• Knowledge of mechanical principles and ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment is a plus
• Experience with order picking and maintenance is preferred

-Able to work unsupervised after training.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.50 per hour
