Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, and clamp trucks, to move and manage inventory. Your expertise will ensure safe, accurate, and timely shipping and receiving operations while maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to seamless warehouse distribution processes and support overall warehouse management efforts.

Duties

• Safely operate forklift trucks, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo equipment in accordance with OSHA and safety standards.
• Load and unload materials from trucks using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and clamp trucks.
• Pick orders accurately using barcode scanning systems and manual methods to fulfill shipping requests efficiently.
• Manage inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts and updating warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks by verifying shipments against documentation and inspecting goods for quality control.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic repairs to ensure optimal operation of all material handling machinery.
• Follow warehouse safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents during heavy lifting or manual handling activities.
• Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing storage areas, managing materials handling workflows, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Skills

• Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning for logistics accuracy.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation, manual handling, and warehouse safety protocols.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to manual handling best practices.
• Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and data entry tasks.
• Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures including load & unload operations.
• Experience with warehouse management or distribution environments is highly desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills to support efficient warehouse operations.

Pay: From $24.35 per hour
