Duties

• Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and shipping areas
• Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
• Perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure forklift safety and functionality
• Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking and storage according to safety standards
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments against documentation
• Support warehouse organization by maintaining clean workspaces and proper storage of goods
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals efficiently

Skills

• Proven experience operating forklifts in a busy warehouse environment
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control
• Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting
• Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and effectively
• Excellent materials handling skills with attention to detail
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments
• Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and safety protocols

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
