Forklift operator

Duties

• Safely operate forklift trucks, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo equipment to load and unload goods.
• Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning tools to track shipments accurately.
• Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy materials and stacking pallets while adhering to OSHA safety protocols.
• Assist with order picking and shipping & receiving processes to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure optimal operation of all material handling equipment.
• Follow warehouse safety standards in production environments to prevent accidents and promote a safe working space.
• Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing inventory, managing stock levels, and conducting regular cycle counts.

Experience

• Proven experience operating forklift trucks and other material handling equipment in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management techniques.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety standards including OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols.
• Experience with order picking, shipping & receiving procedures, and heavy lifting tasks.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations related to weights, measurements, and inventory counts.
• Previous warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse management system operations is a plus.
• Strong understanding of manual handling practices, heavy equipment operation, and materials handling best practices.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
