About the Role

We're looking for a safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our team and play a key role in keeping our operations running efficiently. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for safely moving equipment throughout the yard and workshop, supporting equipment handling activities, and helping maintain a safe, organised, and productive work environment. Working as part of a supportive team, you'll contribute to delivering exceptional service while maintaining high safety and operational standards.

What You'll Be Doing

• Operating forklifts and container handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Moving equipment throughout the yard and workshop in accordance with safety procedures.
• Completing daily forklift pre-start inspections and reporting maintenance requirements.
• Supporting equipment movements, storage, and general yard operations.
• Maintaining equipment, tools, and work areas to a high standard.
• Completing equipment and gate movement records accurately.
• Assisting with housekeeping, waste management, and maintaining 5S standards.
• Supporting other operational activities and team members as required.
• Identifying and reporting hazards, equipment faults, delays, or safety concerns.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with their hands, and being part of a team that values quality workmanship. You'll ideally bring:

• Current LF Forklift Licence.
• Minimum three years' forklift operation and container handling experience.
• Experience operating forklifts in industrial, logistics, transport, manufacturing, or container yard environments.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices.
• Ability to perform routine equipment inspections and identify maintenance requirements.
• Mechanical aptitude and confidence working with tools and equipment.
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work effectively within a team environment.
• Metal trade qualification, WHS certification, or First Aid certificate will be highly regarded.
