Forklift Operator

As a Forklift Operator, you will perform various duties using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications of the job.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, big or small forklifts, skid loaders and other tools as directed by management.
• Clean and prepare production site as needed, including moving supplies, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials.
• Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management.
• Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the production site on a daily basis.
• Load and unload metal supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment.
• Report incidents immediately to safety director, foreman or HR by incident reporting procedures established by the company.
• All other work as directed by supervision

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid driver’s license
• One or more years of experience in lifting heavy machinery and components.
• Ability to work various hours to include the weekends when needed
• Ability to lift heavy equipment, stack, and organize
• Excellent stamina
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work well with others

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
