Forklift Operator

Job Overview
A well-established print, storage & fulfilment business is looking to expand its warehouse team. Fulfilling the role of forklift operator, you will be confident operating a pivot-steer forklift in tight spaces, while also being willing to assist on the ground during quieter periods.

We are looking for an organised individual who is hard-working, reliable and loves to work as part of a team. You will work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure organisation of the current workload. You will be required to have experience of driving a pivot-steer forklift to fulfil this position. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and accuracy to ensure smooth logistical processes within our facility.

Duties

• Picking and wrapping pallets
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Processing deliveries through goods in and ensuring accurate records are taken
• Moving pallets in and out of the warehouse
• Utilising warehouse management system to track inventory and update stock records
• Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety standards
• Collaborate with team members to optimise warehouse workflows and improve operational efficiency

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures
• Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting
• Experience with materials handling, loading, and unloading goods efficiently
• Ability to perform basic maths accurately for inventory counts and measurements
• Physical ability to lift heavy loads regularly and stand for extended periods
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail
• Valid forklift licence recognised in the UK is essential; additional certifications are advantageous
