FORKLIFT OPERATOR

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely to load, unload, transfer, and stack materials and products.
• Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of the forklift, including brakes, tires, forks, hydraulic systems, lights, horn, and safety devices.
• Ensure that materials are handled properly to prevent damage, loss, or workplace accidents.
• Follow warehouse traffic rules, speed limits, pedestrian safety procedures, and designated travel routes.
• Ensure that materials are stacked securely and stored in their proper locations.
• Report equipment defects, mechanical problems, damaged materials, and unsafe working conditions to the immediate supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the assigned work area.
• Complete equipment inspection checklists, material transfer records, and other required documentation.
• Observe proper parking, shutdown, and securing procedures after operating the forklift.
• Perform routine equipment care and basic maintenance as authorized.
• Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with company safety procedures.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel, production staff, and supervisors to ensure efficient material movement.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Holder of applicable forklift operator training certification or TESDA certification, as required for the position.
• With or without forklift operating experience
• Knowledgeable in forklift operation, load handling, warehouse procedures, and workplace safety.
• Physically fit to perform assigned duties safely.
• Able to follow instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules or overtime, when required.
• Must be assessed as competent and authorized to operate the assigned forklift.
