Forklift Operator (Commercial Construction)

Overview Danis is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Forklift Operator to support daily material handling and inventory activities at our facility. This role is responsible for safely loading, unloading, transporting, storing, and tracking materials while helping maintain an organized, efficient, and safety-conscious work environment. The Forklift Operator plays a key role in ensuring materials are available where needed and that inventory is accurately managed.

Responsibilities Essential Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment in accordance with company policies and safety procedures.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and delivery vehicles.
• Move, stage, organize, and store materials throughout the warehouse, yard, and facility.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments.
• Maintain accurate inventory, material movement, and receiving records.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and established operating procedures.
• Assist with inventory counts and material audits as needed.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Support general warehouse, shipping, receiving, and material-handling duties as assigned.

Qualifications Qualifications

• Previous forklift, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material-handling experience preferred.
• Ability to successfully complete required forklift certification and training.
• Basic math, inventory, and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions, labels, and material documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Reliable attendance, dependability, and ability to work assigned schedules.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and any other applicable pre-employment requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and climb throughout the workday.
• Frequently enter and exit forklift equipment.
• Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Use hands and fingers to operate controls and handle materials safely.
• Ability to safely operate equipment using vision, hearing, depth perception, and coordination.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.

Work Environment

• Warehouse, manufacturing, storage yard, and loading dock environments.
• Regular exposure to moving equipment, machinery, noise, dust, and temperature fluctuations.
• Required use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, high-visibility clothing, and safety footwear as required.
