Job Objective:

To provide safe and efficient operation of the baler to process and compact materials for shipment, ensuring proper handling and organization***.*** This position reports to the Salvage Outlet Warehouse Manager who evaluates performance annually.

Essential Job Functions:

• Operate a forklift or pallet jack to transport materials efficiently within the facility.
• Safely load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and placement of goods.
• Organize and sort materials for storage, following warehouse procedures, and accurately process salvage materials for shipment.
• Uphold cleanliness and organization in the warehouse, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Education and Skills:

• Ability to obtain required certifications for Forklift and Compactor.

• Ability to safely operate baler, pallet jack, pallet stacker and compactor.

• Ability to accurately weigh material.

• Ability to pass a drug screen.

Qualifications:

• Authorized to work in the United States.

• Flexible availability.

• Able to frequently bend, twist, reach above shoulder level, push and pull, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

• Able to effectively and safely use standard office and light industrial equipment.
