Forklift Operator/ Picker

About the role

This is a hands-on role responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and dispatch of raw materials and finished products within our food processing facility. Working with fresh produce in a chilled environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operating forklifts safely and efficiently.

• Loading and unloading trucks.

• Receiving, checking, and storing incoming goods.

• Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for dispatch.

• Accurately completing inventory and stock control tasks.

• Performing stocktakes and cycle counts.

• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organised warehouse.

• Ensuring all products are handled in accordance with food safety and quality requirements.

• Following all health and safety procedures and company policies.

About you

• Current OSH Forklift Licence
• Previous experience in a warehouse, or forklift operating role.
• Experience within a food manufacturing or processing environment is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude.
