Duties

• Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other heavy machinery to load and unload shipments.
• Conduct order picking using forklifts and clamp trucks and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
• Assist with inventory management through warehouse management systems.
• Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments, inspecting for damages, and ensuring proper documentation.
• Perform routine equipment checks or notify maintenance for mechanical issues to maintain optimal operation.
• Handle materials with care during movement, stacking pallets securely, and ensuring compliance with OSHA safety standards.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage layouts and improve overall warehouse distribution efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control procedures.
• Mechanical aptitude with basic repair skills for equipment maintenance a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift when necessary.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety and equipment operation.
• Basic math skills for counting inventory and verifying shipments accurately.
• Previous experience in shipping & receiving or order picking is highly desirable.

Pay: $18.75 - $19.00 per hour
