Forklift Operator/Construction Assistant

Overview

We are currently seeking a dependable and hardworking Forklift Operator and Construction Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time position ideal for someone who is comfortable working in active construction environment, operating heavy equipment, and assisting with day-to-day jobsite needs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to move, load, unload, and organize construction materials.
• Assist with receiving and distributing materials throughout the jobsite.
• Load and unload deliveries as needed.
• Assist construction crews with general jobsite tasks.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Perform general cleanup and debris removal.
• Follow all jobsite safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist supervisors and other team members with additional construction related duties as needed.

Physical Demands

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and reach.
• Climb stairs and ladders as necessary.
• Push, pull, lift, carry, and move construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Safely operate a forklift for extended periods.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
• Working around construction equipment, machinery, dust, noise, and other normal jobsite conditions.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. independently. Items exceeding 50 lbs. should be moved with appropriate assistance or equipment.

Required Qualifications

• Forklift certification preferred.
• Previous construction, warehouse, material handling, or general labor experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate equipment and follow jobsite procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
