Forklift Operator/Production Floor Associate

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Forklift Operator / Production Floor Associate to join our seafood processing warehouse team. This dual-role position involves operating a forklift to transport materials and products, while also supporting production floor activities. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced, cold environment and is willing to perform both equipment operation and manual tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate a sit-down counterbalance forklift to safely load, unload, and transport product and materials throughout the facility.
• Move bins, totes, and pallets of fresh and frozen fish throughout the warehouse and production floor.
• Transport fish product in and out of cold storage, while maintaining proper handling standards.
• Move processed and packaged fish product to cold storage or shipping areas as directed.
• Support production tasks including packaging, sorting, labelling, and general fish processing.
• Assist with draining, dumping, and repositioning fish bins and totes as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in accordance with food safety standards.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
• Report equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisor promptly.
• Assist with inventory movement and stock rotation as needed.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Valid counterbalance forklift certification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or food processing.
• Previous leadership or team lead experience is considered an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Fast-paced environment requiring efficiency and attention to detail.
• Highly repetitive task environment.
• Work performed in a refrigerated, cold-climate setting.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Flexible to work various shifts and occasional weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
