Forklift Operator – Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely for loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
• Transport raw materials, finished goods, pallets, and other items within the warehouse/factory.
• Inspect the forklift before each shift and report any defects or maintenance issues.
• Follow all workplace safety rules, speed limits, and designated forklift routes.
• Ensure loads are properly balanced, secured, and within the forklift’s capacity.
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Place materials in designated storage locations and maintain proper stacking.
• Maintain accurate records of material movement when required.
• Keep the forklift and work area clean and organized.
• Perform routine checks such as battery/fuel, tyres, brakes, forks, lights, and hydraulic systems.
• Coordinate with warehouse, production, and logistics teams for material movement.
• Immediately report accidents, damages, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Follow PPE requirements and other company safety procedures.
• Carry out other material-handling duties assigned by the supervisor.
