Duties

• Safely operate a variety of material handling equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo lifts to load and unload shipments.
• Manage inventory by accurately picking orders using order picker equipment and barcode scanning for logistics accuracy.
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by properly stacking pallets, managing materials handling tasks, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Conduct routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs promptly to ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently.
• Support warehouse management system updates for inventory control, tracking materials movement, and ensuring data accuracy.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety protocols diligently during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries.

Skills

• Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment safely.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management techniques, and barcode scanning technology.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique to prevent injury.
• Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures along with order picking processes using various equipment like order pickers.
• Basic math skills for counting inventory items accurately and managing shipment quantities.
• Experience with warehouse distribution processes and materials handling best practices.
• Knowledge of forklift safety protocols aligned with OSHA standards to ensure a safe working environment.
• Prior warehouse experience including shipping & receiving, heavy equipment operation, and warehouse supervision is highly desirable.
