Forklift Operator/Warehouse Worker

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator/Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic logistics team. Duties

• Operate a range of warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently.
• Perform order picking using barcode scanning systems, ensuring accuracy in shipping and receiving processes.
• Load and unload trucks while adhering to OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety protocols.
• Manage inventory levels through proper materials handling, manual handling techniques, and utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to maintain optimal operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Assist with warehouse organization, storage layout, and distribution tasks to streamline warehouse operations.
• Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying shipments, updating inventory records, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating forklift trucks (including reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo) in a warehouse environment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management practices.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to forklift safety protocols and materials handling procedures.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following manual handling guidelines.
• Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy.
• Prior experience in warehouse distribution or warehouse supervision is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on safety standards in production environments.
