Overseas Field Delivery Engineer (FDE)Job Descriptions - English Version

This document contains two English job descriptions prepared for overseas hiring and project delivery needs.

Role Overview

Responsible for the technical delivery and implementation of overseas customer projects, covering data processing, environment deployment, product configuration, system integration, UAT support, troubleshooting, project coordination, delivery documentation, and acceptance support.

This role requires solid data development capabilities, product implementation skills, project execution ability, and English communication skills. The candidate should be able to drive successful project delivery in cross-time-zone and cross-cultural overseas project environments.

1. Data Development and Data Processing

• Understand, clean, transform, map, and validate customer data.
• Use SQL, scripts, or ETL tools to perform data processing, metric calculation, and data preparation.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues, such as missing values, duplicate records, inconsistent formats, field mismatches, and inconsistent metric definitions.
• Work with customers and internal teams to confirm data definitions, field mappings, metric logic, and business rules.
• Prepare data processing documentation, field mapping documents, data quality issue lists, and validation results.

2. Product Deployment and Implementation

• Responsible for software product deployment, configuration, debugging, and system integration in overseas customer environments.
• Work with customer IT teams to confirm implementation conditions, including servers, databases, networks, permissions, security policies, and interfaces.
• Complete implementation tasks related to application services, databases, middleware, configuration files, user permissions, and interface connections.
• Support system testing, interface testing, UAT, and go-live preparation.
• Record deployment processes, issue resolution processes, and environment configurations, and prepare deliverable documentation.

3. Project Delivery and Coordination

• Participate in project kickoff meetings and assist in clarifying project objectives, delivery scope, plans, milestones, and responsibilities.
• Track project tasks, issues, risks, and progress, and drive customers and internal teams to complete delivery according to the plan.
• Maintain project issue lists, action items, meeting minutes, risk logs, and decision records.
• Coordinate resources across sales, product, R&D, project management, customer IT, and business users.
• Support customer training, go-live support, and post-launch issue follow-up.

4. Scope Control and Acceptance Support

• Assist in identifying project delivery boundaries based on contracts, SOWs, requirement documents, or project plans.
• Distinguish between defects, in-scope optimizations, and new requirements, and support change management.
• Assess the impact of new customer requirements and work with the project manager or sales team to support commercial follow-up.
• Prepare acceptance materials, including test records, function lists, issue closure lists, training records, and go-live reports.
• Drive customers to complete phase acceptance, go-live acceptance, or final acceptance.

5. Overseas Customer Collaboration

• Support customer meetings, email communication, documentation, and issue explanations in English.
• Adapt to overseas customers' communication styles, time zone differences, and project collaboration practices.
• Work with overseas sales teams, local partners, or customer IT teams to complete project implementation.
• Provide timely feedback on project risks, customer requirements, and delivery issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Information Management, or a related field.
• Proficient in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
• Strong expertise in at least one mainstream database, such as Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server, including installation, SQL querying, backup, and recovery.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and firewall configuration.
• Familiarity with containerized deployment technologies such as Docker is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in medical informatization, software product implementation, operations and maintenance, or technical support.
• Excellent English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, with the ability to use English as a working language for technical communication, documentation, and customer training.
• Fluency in Chinese is a plus.
