I’m hiring a Forward Deployed Product Engineer in Munich (fully on-site) for a seed-stage AI startup automating legal and compliance work at some of the world’s largest companies. You’ll build full-stack features, enterprise integrations and AI agent workflows, working directly with customers and shipping fast with agentic coding tools like Cursor and Claude Code. My client’s platform turns laws and company policies into executable logic, so multi-agent systems can handle compliance requests with a full audit trail.

What you’ll do

• Work with enterprise customers and the in-house legal team to understand what customers really need, and push back when a simpler solution would work.
• Write the code when platform configuration hits its limits: full-stack features, enterprise integrations , demos and fixes.
• Turn a customer conversation into a working prototype the same afternoon, using agentic coding tools and reviewing their output carefully.
• Debug edge cases that block live deployments of the multi-agent compliance platform.
• Work with platform engineers to turn one-off builds into reusable AI agent capabilities.

What my client is looking for

Must-haves

• A strong full-stack engineer who ships fast. Any stack is fine; what matters is proof you’ve shipped working products people use.
• Confidence with customers. You enjoy understanding the user’s problem and explaining technical trade-offs to non-technical people. Prior customer-facing experience isn’t required if you have the personality for it.
• A founder mindset. You take ownership, handle vague briefs and get things done without handholding.

Nice-to-haves

• Something you’ve built yourself, such as a startup, side project, open-source tool or a product with real users.
• Experience building AI applications, LLM agents or enterprise integrations , ideally in legal tech or another regulated industry.

No minimum years. Exceptional graduates are in scope. Evidence of excellence counts as much as job titles: top grades, hackathon wins, student teams, a student startup, or a werkstudent role at a strong startup.

Practical bits

• Location: Munich, fully on-site 5 days a week, in a central office
• Salary: Up to €90k + equity
• Start: ASAP, full-time, permanent
• Language: English is essential; German is a plus
• Right to work: you must already be able to work in Germany (no visa sponsorship)
