Forward Deployed Engineer

Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)About the role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you work directly with customers to understand their business problems and turn them into working solutions built on Claude. You will sit between the customer’s teams and our product and engineering teams. You will run discovery, define requirements, and build and ship AI-powered workflows that deliver measurable results in the customer’s environment.

What you’ll do

• Run discovery sessions with customer stakeholders (business users, IT, operations) to uncover pain points, workflows, and success criteria.
• Turn ambiguous business needs into clear requirements, user stories, and technical specs.
• Design, prototype, and deploy solutions using Claude (prompting, tool use, agents, and integrations with customer systems).
• Integrate with customer systems such as ERP, CRM, databases, and internal APIs.
• Evaluate and iterate: build test sets, measure quality, and tune prompts and workflows for accuracy, cost, and latency.
• Support customers through rollout with demos, documentation, training, and troubleshooting.
• Feed customer learnings back to product and engineering to shape the roadmap and reusable solutions.

What we’re looking for

Must have

• Strong hands-on skill using Claude and LLMs effectively: prompt design, structured outputs, tool/function calling, context management, and evaluation.
• Proven ability to gather and document requirements, ask the right questions, and translate business language into technical solutions.
• Solid programming skills (Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript), plus experience with REST APIs, JSON, and SQL.
• Clear communication with both technical and non-technical audiences, including presenting demos and writing concise documentation.
• Comfort working independently in ambiguous, customer-facing situations and owning outcomes end to end.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in ERP development or implementation (for example SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar), including customization, modules, data models, and integrations.
• Understanding of business processes such as finance, procurement, inventory, supply chain, HR, or order-to-cash.
• Experience with integration patterns (ETL, webhooks, middleware, MCP servers).
• Background in consulting, solutions engineering, or professional services.
• Experience with cloud platforms and basic security and compliance practices (access control, data privacy).

Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
