Forward Deployed Engineer (Enterprise AI & Platform Integration)

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to join our AI Engineering practice. In this role, you will sit at the tip of the spear, deploying a cutting-edge enterprise AI orchestration platform directly into the environments of top-tier technology companies and Fortune 500 engineering teams.

You will bridge the gap between DevSecOps, Enterprise Architecture, Developer Experience (DevEx) and LLM infrastructure. Your mission is to deploy the platform across diverse client architectures (On-Premises, Air-Gapped, and private VPCs), configure secure agentic workflows, integrate large-scale context retrieval pipelines and drive adoption across thousands of enterprise software engineers.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and maintain the AI orchestration platform across complex client environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, On-Premises, and Air-Gapped networks).
• Configure enterprise SSO/OAuth (SAML, OIDC), manage identity providers, set up API proxies, and enforce enterprise compliance policies (SOC2, HIPAA, ISO) for AI traffic.
• Integrate external and internal LLM providers (Amazon Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Ollama, custom enterprise endpoints) and configure platform developer tools, APIs and client-side integrations for end-users.
• Integrate large-scale codebase context and data retrieval pipelines directly into client CI/CD systems to feed real-time organizational knowledge to AI agents.
• Act as the technical voice of the client back to core R&D and Product teams—translating edge cases, enterprise security demands and custom integrations into core product features.
• Partner with client DevEx leaders and Tech Leads to define best practices around AI agent governance, token usage monitoring and developer productivity metrics.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience writing production code in Python, Go, Java, or TypeScript.
• Strong hands-on background in Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform and managing infrastructure across cloud providers (AWS/GCP/Azure) or private clouds (OpenShift).
• Solid grasp of networking fundamentals (TLS/mTLS, reverse proxies, API gateways), enterprise authentication (SAML, OIDC), and air-gapped security requirements.
• Deep understanding of modern developer environments, VCS (Git, GitHub, GitLab), CI/CD runners (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI), and CLI workflows.
• Hands-on experience working with LLM APIs, AI proxies, agent protocols (e.g., Model Context Protocol / MCP), or local LLM runtimes.
• Proven ability to lead high-stakes technical discussions with Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), Enterprise Architects and Principal Engineers.

Will be a plus

• Experience developing internal developer tools, CLI utilities or developer platform integrations.
• Previous experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Architect or DevEx Consultant at an enterprise SaaS, AI or data infrastructure company.
• Practical knowledge of vector databases, RAG pipelines or enterprise search at scale.
