Forwarding Coordinator / Assistant

About the role

The position is responsible for ensuring accurate documentation, timely shipment processing and smooth coordination of import and export operations and customs forms preparations and declarations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with documentation assistant on customs declaration preparations for MIAG operations.
• Prepare, monitor and follow up on clearance documentations and customs clearance activities.
• Coordinate with customs agents and relevant parties on permits, duties, taxes and clearance requirements.
• Update and maintain records and correspondence.
• Assist in ISO documentations and reporting (import / export / bonded).
• Monitor handing over documents after completion of jobs to CS department.
• Perform any other duties assigned.

About you

• Diploma or Certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management or Administration or relevant discipline or SPM.
• Minimum 2-3 years working experience in similar capacity.
• Proficiency in English and Malay Language.
• Knowledge in forwarding, transport, shipping, warehouse operations, and customs clearance procedures.
• Good team player, meticulous, responsible and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications and relevant forwarding / logistics systems.
