Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of foster children, providing ongoing support, advocacy, and case management services to promote their safety and well-being
• Develop individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs, including educational, emotional, medical, and developmental considerations
• Collaborate closely with foster families, biological families, schools, healthcare providers, and community agencies to coordinate services and facilitate positive outcomes
• Conduct home visits, assessments, and regular check-ins to monitor placement stability and address any emerging concerns
• Ensure compliance with child protective services regulations, mandated reporting laws, and child welfare policies at all times
• Assist with the adoption process when appropriate by coordinating paperwork, facilitating family visits, and supporting transition planning
• Maintain accurate documentation within case management systems using Microsoft Office tools and other agency software
• Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines while managing multiple cases simultaneously
• Drive to various locations for home visits, meetings, or community outreach activities as needed
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary by applying CPR certification skills and child welfare best practices

Requirements

• Proven experience working with foster children or in child welfare settings; experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly valued
• Strong knowledge of child protective services procedures, mandated reporting laws, and social work principles
• Excellent client communication skills with the ability to work compassionately with children and families from diverse backgrounds
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and reporting purposes
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation for driving between appointments and community engagements
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire
• Cultural competency skills to effectively serve diverse populations with sensitivity and respect
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams focused on child welfare and family support

Pay: $50,500.00 - $60,900.00 per year
