  • Connect foster teens (ages 14+) with local resources and opportunities that support life after foster care, including driver’s education, tutoring, extracurricular activities, volunteer opportunities, and job readiness programs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, programs, and organizations in the Houston area to expand resources and opportunities that support teens in developing independence and life skills.

Relationship Building & Retention

  • Develop meaningful relationships with prospective and current foster families to promote long-term engagement and satisfaction.
  • Serve as a supportive point of contact for families throughout the licensing process and early stages of fostering.
  • Collaborate with internal staff to ensure foster families receive the support and resources needed to remain successful.
  • Monitor foster parent satisfaction and help implement strategies that promote retention and positive foster parent experiences.

Licensing & Family Development

  • Guide prospective foster parents through the licensing and home development process, ensuring timely completion of documentation and training requirements.
  • Provide education and encouragement to families as they prepare to welcome children into their homes.
  • Maintain organized documentation and tracking systems for applicants and recruitment efforts.
