Foundation President

For more than 33 years, James L. West Center for Dementia Care has been a trusted leader in compassionate, expert dementia care. As the organization looks toward an exciting new chapter of growth and expanded philanthropic impact, it seeks an accomplished fundraising executive with demonstrated capital campaign leadership experience to help shape and advance its future.

The James L. West Center for Dementia Care operates through the James L. West Presbyterian Center Foundation, a dedicated 501(c)(3) supporting foundation. The Center is seeking its inaugural Foundation President—a welcoming, purpose-driven leader who brings the strategic vision, relationship-building expertise, and proven fundraising success necessary to guide the Foundation through its next phase of growth. Significant experience successfully planning, leading, and executing a capital campaign is essential to this role.

The Foundation President leads the Foundation’s comprehensive fundraising strategy, cultivating meaningful relationships with individual donors, foundations, corporations, community leaders, and other philanthropic partners. The President personally cultivates and solicits transformational gifts while providing strategic leadership across capital campaigns, major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, and other fundraising initiatives. Through thoughtful cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and communication, the President will strengthen the Foundation’s philanthropic infrastructure, inspire greater community investment, and build a sustainable culture of philanthropy that advances the Center’s mission for generations to come.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ in progressive philanthropy roles
• Capital campaign leadership experience
• Demonstrated experience building teams and departments
• Personal experience securing major and transformational gifts
• Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills
• Demonstrated experience in creating and executing complex fundraising strategies

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree.
• CFRE or CAP designation.
• North Texas resident.

Salary

$200,000.
