At a leading French multinational, migrating to the latest generation of SAP ERP is a $1 billion, 7-year effort across ~300 business units. It means untangling decades of customization, legacy code, and complexity — a challenge that every large enterprise faces in a $500 billion global market.

Traditional approaches are slow, risky, and consultant-heavy. We're proving there's a better way: leveraging GenAI to automate the hardest parts of data and code conversion, and combining it with forward-deployed engineering that delivers results in weeks, not years.

The Role

We are looking for our founding engineer to join the team and help shape this breakthrough from the ground up — solving technical challenges at massive scale, building a product category that doesn't exist yet, and being part of the founding team that redefines how enterprises transform.

Responsibilities

Design and build Integral's system ontology — interconnect data, code, and processes to establish the technical foundation that drives our long-term product advantage.
Collaborate with design partners and early prospects to scope, design, and deliver high-impact product solutions — from integration testing and migration engines to system optimization workflows.
Iterate on advanced software and GenAI-powered workflows that evolve into reusable, scalable product components forming Integral's core technology stack.
Develop robust infrastructure and evaluation frameworks — including training data pipelines, performance benchmarks, and test environments to ensure reliability and scalability of our use cases.
Architect and implement secure on-premise deployments that meet enterprise-grade security, compliance, and data governance standards.

Skills and Requirements

Engineering degree in a top-tier school
You are a Software Engineer before being a fan of any specific language or technology and choose the appropriate tool for the appropriate need
End-to-end ownership — thrives in ambiguity, can translate strategic goals into technical architecture and deliver iteratively
Bias for action — builds MVPs fast, measures, iterates, and scales
Strong software architecture and system design — capable of structuring large, modular systems that integrate heterogeneous data sources and codebases
Advanced programming skills in one or more of: Python, Java, or Go, with strong fundamentals in clean code, testing, and performance optimization
Data modeling and ontology design — experience defining schemas, metadata layers, or knowledge graphs to unify complex enterprise datasets
Practical experience integrating LLMs or GenAI workflows into data pipelines or developer tools
Understanding of prompt engineering, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
Very good written and oral English skills

Bonus

Cloud and infrastructure — experience deploying workloads on AWS, GCP, or Azure, plus on-premise environments; strong understanding of containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
Security and compliance — familiarity with enterprise-grade authentication (SSO, OAuth, SAML), data encryption, and audit controls
Contributions to open-source projects or prior founding engineer experience
Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA, or other ERP/CRM systems (Oracle, Dynamics, etc.)

Our office is in the heart of the Sentier district, in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris. At this early stage, we strongly favor on-site collaboration in Paris to maximize speed, collaboration and alignment. We will offer a competitive salary and stock options.
