Founding Forward Deployed Engineer | AI Startup | 4–7% equity

I’m partnering with a venture-backed AI startup to hire a Founding FDE.

The founder is ex-Google and ex-Spotify , and previously co-founded a YC-backed startup .

Funding is secured and the first customer agreements are signed.

The team is building AI agents to run operations across real-world commerce: connecting workflows across customer onboarding, inventory, administration and billing.

As part of the founding team, you’ll work directly with customers and own the journey from understanding their business to getting agents doing useful work in production.

You’ll:

• Work with business owners to understand their workflows and decide what to automate.
• Build agents, integrations and backend systems that solve those problems.
• Own deployment, reliability and the exceptions that need human input.
• Turn early deployments into reusable product capabilities.
• Help shape the product and build the deployment function as the company grows.

I’m interested in strong software engineers with customer exposure, practical applied AI experience and evidence of shipping. Relevant backgrounds could include forward deployed engineering, applied AI or early startup engineering.

Competitive compensation, with 4–7% equity being discussed depending on the overall package.
